This collage has both added and removed features. The cigar ash, raffle ticket, newspaper with the word “art”, and bubble wrap were collaged on while the brown paper was peeled off the packing material revealing the pressed paper product beneath. The visually textured pressed paper and bubble wrap are complemented by the flat brown paper. Color is random, much like the random coloring one might find in a city alley. The placement of the raffle ticket was also random. When working on a different collage I dropped several red raffle tickets and one floated to this collage anointing the title. So, Surrealism.
