This intimate painting portrays two pentagrams. One hand painted while the other taken from an American flag and collaged concentrically to the canvas. I painted from all angles but settled with it pointed down for no other reason than visual interest. There was no literal intent even though the pentagram is wrought with symbolism. No, this painting for me was born from the idea of working the subject from the edges and was a reaction to the undulating form these paintings usually took.
