FIGURE DRAWINGS
Figurative compositions focus on a gestural approach to mark making using the human form as the subject. This approach and subject allows me to explore line, color, shape and rhythm and discover new ways to work with different media. Because of the visual weight of the figure and how it fills the page, I am free to concentrate on the torso, clothing and other simplifications of body mass.
