GESTURAL ABSTRACTIONS
The work on this page I would describe loosely as still lifes. I combine objects that are similar in shape and contour. I think of each object as thin transparent layer which I sometimes weave together like strands of fabric to alter the subject. It’s the overlapping of different objects and pulling out certain forms and lines that direct these compositions. A new development is the elimination of imagery.
